Tally Koren – ‘If I Could Write a Love Song’

Tally Koren’s accomplishments as an independent artist rival those of the biggest names in Pop music. Over the past decade the talented international singing star has performed on some of the most prestigious stages in Europe including; The Marbella International Film Festival, the Forum Kentish Town, Tate Britain , The National Arboretum, The Belgrade Theatre, The House of Lords, MK Dons Stadium and the Royal Albert Hall.

Her media portfolio is equally impressive with appearances on BBC Radio 2 with Graham Norton, Chris Evans and Steve Wright, Virgin Media playlists and a recent television appearance on London Live.

In 2011 Tally Koren made her professional solo recording debut with the single “Beauty of the Duty.” Since then, the prolific singer/songwriter has released over two dozen singles and EPs. A multi-lingual artist, she has recorded in English, Hebrew and Spanish. Recent hits like “Femme Fatale” and “Jealous Girl” have connected with hundreds of thousands of fans around the world, across multiple platforms.

“If I Could Write a Love Song” is the latest single from Tally Koren, released worldwide to all major streaming services on Valentine’s Day 2022. With lyrics written by award-winning Australian poet John Hansen, the song opens with the singer alone accompanied only by a solo piano. Through the first verse she introduces a tale of love and longing in a series of poetic stanzas riffing on the theme of the song’s title.

As the song progresses the ensemble expands to include drums, bass and ethereal orchestral strings. In the chorus the singer meets a choir of backing vocal harmonies repeating the simple and heartfelt refrain, “I just want to be by your side.” Tally Koren delivers a powerfully emotional performance ranging from the quietest whisper to stratospheric highs.
