The Laia Kay Band ‘What Cha Doin Tonight’ delivers their Folk-Rock Sound

The Laia Kay Band performs a unique folk-rock sound with covers and originals from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Laia Kay, guitarist/songwriter and singer, strums with a bass player and is joined on stage with male vocalist, Lenny.

Laia Kay’s roots: I was an introspective child with lots of flaws and insecurities, which I chipped away at by moving out of NY to the LA area of California and upon my return to NY, traveled solo with backpack to Europe when I was 24. My musical mind was influenced by greats like Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, the Dead and many more but my writing was inspired from my vast experiences, which embellished these songs.

These originals invariably touch listeners’ hearts and minds, and I am extremely proud playing them to an audience. I recognize that my life changes wrote my songs, and my songs in turn, changed me. Now I have over one hundred songs in my collection of originals which all have a unique quality and style for any age and gender to adore; so please, relax and enjoy what you hear while getting to know Laia Kay.
