Atlanta’s rising hard rock act, The Fire We Breathe, unveils its latest video for “Follow Me”, a heavy, emotionally charged single that delves into themes of reflection, trust, and personal growth. The release follows the success of the band’s previous single, “Playing With Fire,” which showcased their explosive energy and tight musicianship to a growing fan base.
While Playing With Fire captured the camaraderie and high-octane spirit of the band’s live shows, Follow Me reveals a deeper, more introspective side of the four-piece. The track encourages listeners to examine their motivations, release the burdens they can’t carry alone, and stay grounded through life’s challenges.
“There was a time in my life when I lost control and had to depend on others just to get by,” says vocalist and guitarist Alan Williams. “That experience taught me the value of making better choices and trusting wisely. This song is about learning to carry what you can—and letting go of what you can’t.”
With its soaring melodies, precise grooves, and powerful message, Follow Me delivers both sonically and lyrically. The band—comprising Williams, guitarist Eric Anderson, bassist Trey Pittman, and drummer William Shaw—continues to blend raw emotion with seasoned musical execution.
“Trust can open new paths—creatively and personally—when it’s given with intention,” Williams adds. “But you have to stay aware. That balance is what this song explores.”

The Fire We Breathe formed in 2023 and quickly built a reputation for their dynamic live performances and blue-collar grit. Drawing influence from both classic and modern rock and metal, the band’s sound is unapologetically loud, yet deeply human.
