How can you resist a band like the Australian crossover rockers, Slightly Left Of Centre? High energy Maroon 5 styled vocals, Daft Punk-like electro- funk rhythms and a Jamiroquai acid attitude is a temptation far too great for both the ear and the body to withstand. Now, taken from the band’s upcoming album, Slightly Left Of Centre are set to release their brand new single “Euphoria” on Friday May 12, via Spectra Music Group/Tabletop Records. Slightly Left Of Centre members, Adam Spicer (Vocals & Keys), Michael Pace (Guitars & Vocals), have the privilege of being skilled in recording, mixing, editing, filming and mastering both video and audio, which puts them in a perfect position to execute their musical pieces exactly as intended by the writers and performers.
“Euphoria is a song that promotes being on a natural high, being happy to be alive, and to live life without regrets,” says band member Adam Spicer. The single is more polished than almost anything they have ever done, and is confectioned into a precision-targeted pop-dance missile ready to explode across dance-floors worldwide.
These guys have the whole modern electro thing down to a tee, with impeccably precise grooves and a cutting edge production. Slightly Left Of Centre is a slick hybrid of 21st century pop-rock digital drive, blended with a healthy dose of uber-hot 70’s funk and 80’s inspired electronics.
Slightly Left Of Centre have managed to put together a pretty damn good single, but they’re just too cool to admit it. The song is so catchy and so addictive it’s easy for casual listeners to just keep clicking the repeat button and forget about everything else. These dudes are clearly having a blast on “Euphoria”, which becomes even clearer watching the sporting video on YouTube.
It’s not hard to imagine this getting an enthusiastic response from club goers on the dance floor. Especially in light of the fact that Slightly Left Of Centre are putting out a remixed, bass thumping dance version of the song too. And to bring the track full circle, the band is also including an Acoustic Version which is a slower stripped down mix for those who crave ballads.
Bursting out the blocks it’s hard to resist any and all of “Euphoria’s” flashiness, with the driving drums and menagerie of shiny guitars, whirling synths and throbbing bass producing the kind of sonic atmosphere that’ll slay dance-floors and dance charts the world over.
This all equals extraordinary musical entertainment. This is their best single yet. Slightly Left Of Centre couldn’t do mediocre music if they had to. They were born for the art of their unique brand of music. “Euphoria” energizes and motivates!
