Following up on their recent comeback with “Loverboy,” The Falls are back with “Milk and Cookies,” their brand-new single out on September 25 across all digital platforms, accompanied by an official music video.
“Milk and Cookies” is an indie-rock anthem driven by razor-sharp guitars, a persistent rhythm section and a catchy chorus. Inspired by an eccentric, unforgettable old friend “an everyday hero who walked in the rain without an umbrella” the track blends jangle-pop textures with an ironic tribute to those who appear as outsiders to the world and yet possess a hidden, quiet greatness. Listening takes from C86 to Blur influences, passing through Housemartins and Madchester scene.
Conceived and directed entirely by human hands, the side video translates this quirky energy into a cinematic graphic novel narrative, relying on an AI-driven approach strictly as a supportive tool for the artwork to a human vision.
